Description
Summary:This paper addresses the teaching of Philosophy in integrated education at a public institution within the Federal Education network. Historically, the teaching of Philosophy has been impacted by educational reforms at this level of education. With the recent reform in basic education, stemming from Law nº. 13.415/2017 (Brazil, 2017), the entire educational context in private and public schools at the federal, state, and municipal levels is undergoing readjustment based on this curricular guideline. Therefore, the following question arises: what are the implications of the new National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) for the teaching of Philosophy in integrated education? Qualitative research was employed to elucidate this inquiry. Methodologically, the study began with a bibliographic review and documentary research. According to the official documents analyzed, a reduction in the space allocated to propaedeutic subjects, including Philosophy, was observed. This reduction represents a regression and an obstacle to comprehensive and emancipatory education.
