Descrição
Resumo:The present work studies the case of the publication of the novel Du côté de chez Swann (1913), by Marcel Proust, in France, and its translation (1946) by Natalia Ginzburg, in Italy. It is an analysis carried out based on the concept of rhizome, created by Deleuze and Gattari, and on the micro-history of Giovanni Levi, seeking to map the unsystematic path of a classic work. To this rhizomatic network, we add the idea that any publication, edition, manuscript or even translation, is understood as an event. Micro-history is interested precisely in these “minor” events, and turns, from an analysis of the sources, to local events, to anonymous figures, located in micro-contexts, which, nevertheless, allow for a wider reflection within a larger context, such as zooming over a photograph. Above all, I am interested in following the singular life of Proust's work, and its translations, portraying the historicity of his event in the field of the History of Translation.
