Sumario:The 1950 World Cup was held in Brazil and was marked by Maracanazo - the defeat of the Brazilian team against Uruguay in the finals. The competition is present in the memory of the sports journalism and Nelson Rodrigues uses the championship in its written journalistic chronicles later. This research studies the role of the 1950 World Cup in three of these texts, originally published in 1958, 1959 and 1977. The analysis was carried out through the Narratology and the actantial model of Greimas, lining off narrative places used.DOI: 10.21204/2359-375X/ancora.v3n2p251-271
