Resumo:The theme of the New High School, from the difficulties of the project to its implementation in public schools in Brazil in 2022, caused many doubts/questions related to the practice in the classroom. As a result, the reform takes place in an incoherent and very complex way in the teaching units. In this context, the main objective of this research is to analyze the difficulties of implementing the New High School in three public high schools, located in: São Luís/MA, Rio Tinto/PB and Quintana/SP in 2022. Based on these assumptions, the present article is configured with a qualitative approach, in which the application of a questionnaire was used as a methodological instrument, sent to education professionals, as well as articles related to the reform of High School, to the Base National Common Curriculum, to the National Guidelines and Bases Law/1996, among others. As a result, the difficulties and obstacles that education professionals faced with the implementation of the reform with gaps in training and information for teachers were highlighted. Therefore, there was a need for discussion to understand the implementation of this project in Brazilian schools.
