| Resumo: | The article seeks to analyze the proposals of the new normative document for national education -the National Curricular Common Base regarding the teaching of Brazilian dance in elementary education, raising hypotheses that question the choices of the document and the consequences to the work to be done with the theme within the school. It seeks to raise some concepts about the characteristics ofpopular culture that affect the quality of the proposal to be performed at school, pointing out ways and options covered by the author in her training in dance and her teaching in the municipal network of São Paulo. Finally, it concludes by reflecting on the possible lessons learned in an in-depth project with popular culture and Brazilian dance. |
