| Resumo: | This study presents a discursive analysis of memes that circulate on social networks as humorous content, related to the figure of the Negro. It seeks to answer the following question: what speeches can be identified in memes circulating on the internet related to the figure of the black? For that, we use the concepts of Discourse Analysis (AD) to analyze images, here seen as operators of memory and effects of meaning. The process of disseminating images and statements on social networks operationalizes the functioning of memories of racist speeches, producing a humorous effect by disqualifying black people in different meanings. In addition, the discourse maintains the idea of productivity of the slave labor, reinforcing the racist ideology transmitted in the materialization of subsidized prejudice relations, referring to the context in which the meme is inscribed. |
