Descripción
Sumario:This work describes the materials and field methods used in dendrochronology, applied to the study on Physical Geography phenomena related to landforms and climate. The different routes traveled during a little over a decade (2006 to 2017) in the Sierra Nevada illustrate the various environmental scenarios explored and sampled. The field work was carried out in the ravines along the northern slope of the Popocatepetl volcano (Figure 1) and on the northern slopes of the Iztaccihuatl volcano (Figure 2), aimed at determining the dendrochronological potential of various conifer species and their response to climate phenomena and volcanic and geomorphologic processes.
