This paper uses the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making approach to prioritise the types of tourism. The method applied is the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and the results showed the greater importance of the criteria of rest/simplicity and cultural difference. As for the tourist destinations, the most relevant in order of priority were Cruise tourism followed by Art/culture tourism, showing that these two types of tourism must be combined in a co-competition.This paper is financed by National Funds provided by FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology through Project UIDB/04020/2020.
