| Resumo: | Telework has evolved into a diverse and dynamic phenomenon characterized by three generations¿home office, mobile office, and virtual office¿largely attributed to advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Before the COVID-19 pandemic, telework was mainly seen as a labor option available to highly skilled workers (white-collar workers) and was relatively rare. However, the lockdown period demonstrated that telework is feasible for a much larger portion of the population, although concerns about the suitability of home working conditions persisted. Unlike offices, which are often governed by strict Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) performance standards, residential spaces are likely to lack the optimal IEQ conditions needed to support well-being and productivity during office work. Despite the increasing number of people working from home, there is a lack of understanding regarding the implications of IEQ conditions in home workspaces. This protocol aims to design a scoping review to investigate how home teleworking research is carried out, focusing on the identification of key characteristics or factors related to the IEQ context. |
