| Resumo: | Arabic, English, French and Spanish differ in important ways. Arabic is a Semitic language which is a branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family, while English is a Germanic language, and French and Spanish are Romance languages. Germanic and Romance languages are branches of the Indo-European language family. English, French and Spanish are spoken in countries and communities quite distant from the Arabic-speaking world, geographically and culturally. These communities form what is known as Western culture, which is different in many respects from Arabic culture. |
