| Resumo: | For several decades now, there have been many voices that have subjected to serious questioning the way in which development and human progress have been commonly understood. Others have tried to go a step further than that of criticism by risking to propose alternatives. In this paper, we analyze and compare both the classical conception of development, and those critical and alternative discourses that participate in the aforementioned debate. In addition, there is an emphasis here on what this discussion has left to Ecuador and what has been possible from here; especially since the implementation of public policies aimed at rethinking and reorienting the development criteria from the bet by Buen Vivir as an alternative model. |
