The present work describes an innovative method for secondary school students. The objective of the work is to use paleontology to establish relationships between the stratigraphic record (and the geological time) and climate change. In this workshop, students analyzed a hypothetical evidence of fossil records in order to relate them with climate and environmental change, through a playful activity and with an abductive reasoning to make hypotheses. Additionally, previous ideas about these concepts, in 152 students, and the state of knowledge about cognitive-linguistic abilities were described. The generalized conceptions on stratigraphic principles stand out, such as the principle of superposition, and the difficulty in establishing a relationship between climate change and its impact on the fossil record.Keywords: Climate change, Geological time, Education, Paleoclimatology, Stratigraphy. |

En esta propuesta se trabaja sobre una hipotética evidencia de registros fósiles en la provincia de Buenos Aires, para así, a través de una actividad lúdica y un razonamiento de tipo abductivo realizar hipótesis sobre el cambio ambiental de la región y, posteriormente, el cambio climático del planeta en el pasado. Adicionalmente, la actividad se utilizó para hacer un primer relevamiento de las concepciones alternativas sobre tiempo geológico en un total de 152 alumnos de nivel medio. De esta recopilación se destaca la presencia generalizada de concepciones sobre principios estratigráficos, como el principio de superposición; y la fuerte dificultad para establecer una relación entre los cambios climáticos y su repercusión en el registro fósil.Este trabalho propõe um método inovador para que estudantes do ensino médio estabeleçam relações entre o registro estratigráfico (e por extensão o Tempo Geológico) e as mudanças climáticas, usando a paleontologia como ponte. Na proposta, trabalhamos em uma evidência hipotética de registros fósseis na Província de Buenos Aires, para que, por meio de uma atividade lúdica e raciocínio abdutivo, formemos hipóteses sobre as mudanças ambientais na região e, posteriormente, as mudanças climáticas. o passado. A atividade foi utilizada para fazer um primeiro levantamento de concepções alternativas de tempo geológico em um total de 152 alunos do nível intermediário.
