| Resumo: | Trudi Landau (1920-2015) was a Jewish woman who was born in Germany. She came to Brazil with her husband, Jean Landau, in 1946. In Brazil her only child died, here she lived in a dictatorship and found a form of social intervention in literature. She became a reader of journalistic chronicle and chroniclers’ correspondent, mainly for Lourenço Diaféria and Carlos Drummond de Andrade. From a perspective that understands literature through its interaction with the context, as a human practice at a historical process, we analyze how the characteristics of the journalistic chronicle contributed to Trudi Landau's interest in this literary genre and how this literature became important in her life and social relationships. Given this relationship between reader, writers and literary texts, this research aims to contribute to the studies of history, literature and the press, especially with regard to journalistic chronicles as a literary genre. |
