| Sumario: | We present the curation activities carried out with the Von Koseritz Collection’s polished lithic artefacts with two objectives. The first one was to analyse in detail the archaeological artefacts, providing important pieces of information, converting simple collection artefacts into fragments that help the understanding of pre-colonial occupations of southern Brazil. The second one was to produce data to better understand Brazilian pre-colonial history, mainly related to polished lithic artefacts, comparing the data with other archaeological materials found in the northern, southern, and southeastern Brazil. We present, therefore, analysis of lithic polished blades, pestles, grinding stones, hammerstones, anvils, virotes, boleadeiras, shaft straightener, “abrasive stones”, basin-shaped portable grindstones and zoolith. |
