Descrição
Resumo:This article presents the archaeological collection of the Goeldi Museum from the perspective of the new collection policy, which is under construction by the curatorial team of the Mário Ferreira Simões Technical Reserve. This renewed orientation, more outreach-oriented, seeks to reconnect objects to their original contexts and documentation, aiming to offer new possibilities for their connection with different social groups. When requalifying objects and collections in their relational aspects, we seek to enhance the plurality of forms of readings, perceptions, and reinterpretations of the archaeological heritage safeguarded in the institution. We also consider the urgent need for greater digital engagement for communication and documentation purposes.
