| Summary: | Higher education institutions have among their basic functions the scientific production arising from the various activities performed by it, such as through the scholarships for scientific initiation, so that one way to measure and highlight the constitution of knowledge is the mapping of these publications. This article aims to analyze the scientific production of the projects of the Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica of the Federal University of Ceará, as well as to understand which means of communication are being adopted by the program's researchers. This is an exploratory, descriptive and documental research, with a quantiqualitative approach and has as method the case study. It uses as a data collection instrument the scientific initiation reports, mapping those with and without productions and their different typologies, and has as a cutout the areas of knowledge linked to the Applied Social Sciences. It statistically analyzes the collected data, based on theoretical propositions associated with the search for the Qualis of the publications on the Plataforma Sucupira of the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement. The results show the existence of scientific productions arising from scientific initiation projects and indicate that it is used predominantly articles in journals and annals of events for the dissemination of studies. It concludes that the mapping of the scientific productions of these projects can be representative of what has been produced at the university, making it possible to meet the institutional demands, of science and society, and, therefore, to contribute to the training of the scientific initiation scholarship student, one of the main objectives of the program. |
