| Resumo: | In Perspectives on Retranslation: Ideology, Paratexts, Methods (2019), researchers Özlem Berk Albachten and Åžehnaz Tahir GürçaÄŸlar offer new discussions on the practice of retranslation from a historical and cultural perspective. In addition to presenting their own project on retranslation in the Ottoman and Turkish societies, the editors bring contributions from researchers from different countries and case studies of the most diverse genres. Throughout the chapters, the researchers invite us to consider the developments of the practice in the publishing market, the reception of retranslated works and even their role in the history of translation with the analysis of paratexts and the influence of different ideologies, besides the discussion of new methods for the analysis of such retranslations. |
