Descrição
Resumo:The article is based on an ongoing research and focuses on peculiarities of the relationship between director and performer in the Bailarino-Pesquisador-Intérprete methodology (Dancer-Researcher-Performer – BPI). To this end, we work with the midwife trade as an analogy for the role of the director. One of the activities included in the methodology chosen for the research was to conduct fieldwork among traditional midwives in a Pankararu indigenous community. The purpose of it was to further analyze the aforementioned analogy. Much of what was experienced among the midwives may be helpful in further assessing the nature of the creative process in the BPI methodology.
