Descripción
Sumario:Guyana and Suriname are the newest and least populated States in South America and are among those with the smallest territories. Moreover, both are characterized by a highly complex and diverse ethno-cultural composition, by languages thet differ from all other South American countries and by one insertion toward the Caribbean and also to some extent for the former metropoles. These are countries still loosely connected with its neighbors and despite having great possibilities of production (especially in mineral and energy sectors), their economies are still rudimentary and lacking in infrastructure, transport and energy.
