Descripción
Sumario:The archive belonged to Alceu Amoroso Lima (Tristão de Athayde) is one of the most important documentary sets for interdisciplinary research, covering different areas of knowledge and provoking the idea of knowledge and subjectivities that can be interconnected. Letters, telegrams, aerograms, manuscripts, diplomas, photographs, books, magazines, pictures, various museum objects and other documentary and textual typologies form this complex collection that currently makes up the Alceu Amoroso Lima Center for Freedom (CAALL), located in the city of Petrópolis (RJ), an institution that safeguards the intellectual legacy of this author. In this sense, CAALL can be classified in the category of “museumhouse”, a category that allows us to think about the place of the personal archive within a larger structure, in constant dialogue with the library, garden and the premises of the house itself. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the constitution of this space and its content, talking a little about its composition and contributing for the dissemination of the work and the thought of this important intellectual.
