| Sumario: | The stage of the research that has been developed presently has as main focus to present and discuss two sets of sources used as auxiliaries in this study, particularly, of the Brazilian thinker Alceu Amoroso Lima’s course and also of the intellectuals who used to be of his group. The sets are: a selection of the thinkers’ works of the 18th and 19th centuries (Edmund Burke, Louis-Ambroise De Bonald, Joseph De Maistre and Juan Donoso Cortés); the magazine A Ordem, a publication of Catholic guidance created in the 1920s and used to be the main means of expression of the laic Catholic intellectuality. The first set of sources definitely provide us elements to think about the Catholic intellectuals’ production of articles published in the magazine A Ordem in the 1930s and 1940s and particularly, by Alceu Amoroso Lima, the intellectual leader of the group that used to write in those pages. |
