It is from this context that this research aims to analyze the relationship between the arrival of these projects and the current configuration of the gardens of the Vila União/Campina quilombola community, in the municipality of Salvaterra. In order to achieve this objective, a qualitative methodological approach was used. The main methodological tools used were bibliographical research, participant observation and interviews. It emerged that, faced with the consequences of the development projects installed in the municipality, the quilombola families of Vila União/Campina have been building socio-economic and cultural reproduction strategies to remain in the territory. Among these strategies, the search to maintain agrobiodiversity stands out.No município de Salvaterra, localizado no Arquipélago do Marajó, podem ser visualizadas iniciativas vinculadas a projetos desenvolvimentistas a partir da implementação do monocultivo de arroz e do abacaxi, bem como na construção de uma rodovia estadual. É a partir desse contexto que a presente pesquisa objetiva analisar a relação entre a chegada desses projetos e a atual configuração dos roçados da comunidade quilombola Vila União/Campina, município de Salvaterra. Para o alcance desse objetivo, partiu-se de uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa. Os principais instrumentais metodológicos mobilizados foram a pesquisa bibliográfica, a observação participante e entrevistas. Evidencia-se que, em face às consequências dos projetos desenvolvimentistas instalados no município, as famílias quilombolas de Vila União/Campina vêm construindo estratégias de reprodução socioeconômica e cultural para sua permanência no território.
