| Sumario: | The Lower Jaguaribe Microregion, Ceará, has among its main hydrogeological domains Undifferentiated Fractured Basement, the Alluvial Deposits, the Jandaíra and Açu Formations. Which in general attributes it to sodium and mixed chloride hydrogeochemical characteristics, and as high salinity, also in the majority of the samples presented the presence of coliforms. The region is favorable with the availability of groundwater, however, some water uses should be taken with caution, so as not to compromise human health, and other human activities. |
