Resumo:The aim of this article is to establish a reflection oposing theso-called crisis in the utopian model of public space and theimminence of new forms, meanings and behaviors in urban spaces,which can be more accurately understood with the idea ofheterotopy. This problematic concept of Foucault was discussed inthe context of post-modern geography and, in this article, is used toquestion the role of the social dimension within the theory ofpublic spaces.
