| Resumo: | The article aims to discuss the body as a heterotopic space, based on the notion defined by Foucault, The Body, the heterotopias. In this sense, we propose to understand how the dissident bodies of cisnormativity can be understood as a heterotopic space insofar as they show themselves as an instrument of resistance to the forms of normalization and regulation of themselves and the physical space. The meaning of body in our analysis points to a space of struggle, of dispute of meanings between subjects and of clash of different power relations that cross individuals and their experiences. We propose to think about trans people based on the idea of the body as a heterotopia, both for its character of resistance to the processes of normalization, and for the process of appropriation that these people make of their identity, constituting themselves as subjects of their desires and subjectivities. Dissident bodies are considered a heterotopic space insofar as a series of processes of sociocultural meanings and constructions are engraved in its constitution, but at the same time this body, as a heterotopic space, resists and subverts the process, the binary and the cisnormative discourse, creating in themselves a heterotopic space. |
