| Resumo: | This research aimed to investigate the experiences of former students and coordinators of postgraduate programs at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), regarding the relationship management practices adopted by the institution with alumni. Through the triangulation between document analysis, literature review and case study, a survey was carried out with postgraduate graduates, graduated in the period from 2016 to 2021, and coordinators of 34 stricto sensu postgraduate programs located on the campus of the Pici/UFC. Data collection from graduates and coordinators was carried out through an online questionnaire. From the results obtained, deficiencies were identified that hinder the existence of an effective and systematized management of graduates. In this way, a broad discussion of the subject by the upper management and bodies involved was suggested. According to the perception of the graduates and coordinators participating in the research, there is a gap in follow-up actions and maintenance of the relationship/bond aimed at the postgraduate segment at UFC. Seeking to contribute to the improvement of relationship management with graduates, actions were recommended, from the perspective of the research participants and successful experiences reported in the literature, aiming at the future institutionalization for a permanent and complete program for the management of graduates in the UFC. |
