Resumo:This article aims to discuss the teaching of Statistics based on the thematic unit probability and statistics, from the promulgation of the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC), in the early years of elementary school. Through a methodology of bibliographic character, based on the contribution of the authors: BORBA (2019), CAMPOS (2011), GAL (2002), GUIMARÃES (2013); LOPES (2008), among others. In order to understand how the pedagogical teachers' work with Statistics is being developed after the changes proposed by the curriculum document, this research aims to reflect on the changes related to the theme and its impact on the implementation of the probability and statistics unit in the early years of the year. Elementary School. From the readings, it was evidenced the need to emphasize the continued formation of teachers in Mathematics, approaches, directed methodologies and clear instructions, which contribute directly to the process of teaching and learning concepts related to Probability and Statistics for students of the early years of basic education.
