| Summary: | This article results from an investigation with a qualitative exploratory approach, part of doctoral research, still in progress. The main objective is to present the result of the integrative literature review, in the international and national scenario, on the subject of the experience of university administrators, in particular, coordinators of the undergraduate course. For this purpose, five databases were researched, three national and two internationals. After searching the databases, eighteen researchers were identified to compose the literature review, whose data were studied through Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2011). The integrative literature review provided new elements for thinking about the complex context of management in Higher Education, such as the various conditions that involve the position, the demands for professionalization that it entails for managers and institutions, and the impacts of management in the development of the teaching career. Furthermore, it was possible to understand better the course coordinator as the leader of a learning and professional training project. The gap was evident for more studies that approach managers' experiences through methodologies such as life stories, (auto)biographies, narratives to boost and subsidize the discussion about the creation and qualification of institutional spaces with training purposes for management exercise. Also, it highlights the need to carry out comparative studies between the national and international scenarios and the public and private environments. |
