| Resumo: | The central idea of this work is to analyze some significant characteristics of freedom of thought, opinion, and expression as constitutive foundations of democratic societies. If freedom of expression is essential for democracy, how can we understand the need for limits on the free expression of thoughts? What are the risks of limits becoming censorship? How can we ensure freedom of expression without endangering fundamental rights? These are some of the questions that will guide the analysis in this article. |
