Belo Horizonte, MG, BrazilAn investigation of the ethanolic extract from stems of Caesalpinia echinata Lam Leguminosae-Caesalpinioideae) led to the isolation of five new cassane diterpenes along with known lambertianic acid. Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic methods.
