Determination of best planting times for soybean in Palotina, State of Paraná, through Cropgro-soybean model - DOI: 10.4025/actasciagron.v28i4.936

The model Cropgro-soybean was calibrated for cultivars CD 202, CD 204, CD 206 and CD 210 in the municipality of Palotina, State of Paraná, Brazil (24º17'S latitude, 53º50'30'' longitude and 333 m altitude). After calibrated, the model Cropgro was used to estimate soybean yield fo...

Descripción
Sumario:The model Cropgro-soybean was calibrated for cultivars CD 202, CD 204, CD 206 and CD 210 in the municipality of Palotina, State of Paraná, Brazil (24º17'S latitude, 53º50'30'' longitude and 333 m altitude). After calibrated, the model Cropgro was used to estimate soybean yield for five planting times, during 25 years (1974 to 1999). Sensitivity analysis of the model showed high response due to changes in genetic coefficients of the cultivars in this study. The highest crop yield was simulated for October 1, but it also gave the lowest estimates. The best planting dates were found to be October 15 and November 1, with mean yields of 2.450 kg ha-1 and 2.303 kg ha-1, respectively.
