| Sumario: | This work aims to reflect on mathematical literacy using Monteiro Lobato's children's literature. Our analysis option was designed approaching fictional aesthetics, in the dialogue between the well-known characters of Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, protecting the discursive characteristic of each of them, highlighting the dimension of knowledge construction. Furthermore, we consider the historical context of the time of production of the works in question as reassembled from other texts and, therefore, it can only be known through intertextuality. In view of the analysis, it is possible to see that Lobato's work Infantil allows the creation of different learning contexts, which is fundamental to giving meaning to knowledge and developing mathematical literacy. |
