Descripción
Sumario:This study aimed to survey the factors that favor (possibilities) and those who hinder (limitations) the development of Rural Tourism in Family Agriculture (RTFA) between the producers of strawberries and flowers in the city of Alfredo Vasconcelos / MG. As a research instrument we utilized forms through which we traced the social profile of the respondents and it was possible to identify them and their perceptions and knowledge of the RTFA, as well as the economic activities on the properties. Amongst the limitations found, the lack of knowledge about RTFA and the little experience of the interviewed people in non-agricultural activities have indicated a need of more qualification of the agriculturers and their families to RTFA. The results indicated that the development of RTFA may occur upon withdrawal of the limitations identified. Among those, the lack of municipal public politics for RTFA is pointed as the main limitation once the elaboration and execution would contribute to minimize the limitations that have been found. Although this research has been based exclusively on RTFA, it has been observed that the integration with other segments of touristic offers, specially agricultural tourism, can broaden income generation that comes from the general touristic offer.
