We also point out the impact these technologies could have on classic ontological discussions in philosophy such as the problem of personal identity, the immutability of human nature and the primordial philosophical question: What does it mean to be human?O artigo discute avanços recentes da neurotecnologia e como estes impactam a filosofia da neurociência. Fazemos aqui o mapeamento de neurotecnologias atuais ou em desenvolvimento e quais os seus possíveis impactos na sociedade do ponto de vista ético, enfatizando a necessidade de uma regulação imediata destas.
