| Resumo: | The conception of internationalization is sometimes limited to mobility programs. Indeed, Internationalization at Home (IaH), understood as the integration of international characteristics into the curriculum (Beelen; Jones, 2015), is more inclusive, and not just for international students. This work advocates the role of literature for the development of intercultural competence (IC) (Sequeira, 2018), the latter defined as awareness and respect towards cultural differences (Kramsch, 2005). This study aims to present a theoretical-methodological proposal for the development of IC in the IaH context. The proposal allows for the dialogue about a literary work between students from a Brazilian institution and a Mozambican institution. It is expected that such proposal will contribute to critical reflection on issues such as social inequality and racism. |
