Description
Summary:This research aims to explore the stream of internationalization of higher education (HE) – at home -, from the use of ProKnow-C methodology, in Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) database. With the use of the methodology and other criteria listed, 26 articles were selected and analyzed through three categories: concepts, places and subjects. To this end, the decolonial perspective contributes to the epistemological bases to the analysis. The analysis points to the need of questioning hegemonic models with emphasis on competition, on reinforcing inequalities and euro-centric north models. The category concepts indicates possibilities to students, teachers, technicians and external community to expand perspectives to intercultural and pluriverse worlds. However, they seem to limit places and subjects based on characteristics of a modern/colonial pattern restricted to a small portion of the university community.
