Descrição
Resumo:The Ordinary Least Squares is utilized to adjust curves to data collected in experiments and to monitor or project the evolution of a fact. It can be used to give the first alerts about the behavior of a disease or to describe a physical process. The first chapter presents the mathematical bases on which the method is based. In the second chapter there are descriptions of the Ordinary Least Squares method and types of curves that we can generate from the data collected or observed. The text is concluded presenting in the last chapter activities of application of the Ordinary Least Squares method in real situations, trying to instill in the student curiosity about the method, without the intention of producing or validating scientific knowledge. The presentation is strictly didactic, offering subsidies so that the teacher can make an appropriate introduction of the content to the student.
