Descrição
Resumo:The competitiveness of the productive chain of medicinal plants in Brazil is analyzed indicators arising from the trade. This is a new Brazilian dilemma: on the one hand, the country has one of the largest reserves of biodiversity on the planet, on the other hand, presents a low level of competitiveness in the sector revealed. Brazil is a net importer traditional in all segments of the production chain, with growing trade deficits in that the products have higher values added. The expansion of systemic competitiveness of the productive chain of medicinal plants goes mainly by the change in the regulatory framework and the national industrial policy and technology. Economic stimuli that are essential to the wide variety of medicinal plants can be processed into products of high added value and with great impact on sustainable economic development of the country.
