Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to describe nursing care in Intensive Care Units (ICU) through an Integrative Literature Review. The research was conducted in scientific databases, such as LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF, with articles published between 2019 and November 2024, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. After analysis, 8 publications were selected to compose the final sample. The results highlighted the quality of nursing care, with an emphasis on affection, love and humanization in care. In addition, it is worth highlighting the importance of effective communication between nursing team professionals as a strategy to promote humanized care, which strengthens the therapeutic bond, facilitates the physical and emotional recovery of patients and provides greater comfort to families. Therefore, human-centered care contributes to a more collaborative work environment, positively impacting the quality of care.
