| Sumario: | It is proposed an analysis of the novel Memories of the scribe Isaías Caminha, by Lima Barreto, originally published in 1909, and the text "Embraced to my rancor" (1986), by João Antônio. Differences and similarities between the production of both writers are highlighted, especially considering the relationship between journalism and literature. From the repeated admiration of João Antônio by Lima Barreto, the proximity between the two productions published in different historical periods and contexts is verified, but they have elements that allow to reflect on the current Brazilian journalism. |
