Summary:The article investigates the role of provisional measures in the updating process in cases of domestic violence, analyzing the effectiveness of the Maria da Penha Law. The objective of the study is to evaluate how protective measures can facilitate access to victims of domestic violence, proposing improvements in public and legislative policies to simplify the marriage dissolution process. Using a qualitative approach, the research is based on documentary analysis of submitted legislation and bibliographic review on the topic, with an emphasis on the analysis of recent judicial decisions and legislative proposals. The structure of the article is organized into five chapters: introduction to the historical and legal context, discussion of the Maria da Penha Law, analysis of protective measures and their implications, examination of the impact of Bill 510/19, and the conclusion, which highlights the need to improve legislation and implement measures to guarantee protection and effective autonomy for victims of domestic violence.
