Descripción
Sumario:On the national scene, Environmental Education plays an important role, in view of the different geographic, social and historical realities that make up the Brazilian soil. Based on this knowledge and knowing that educational projects influence and contribute to a more sustainable society, this work seeks to analyze how the theme Environmental Education (EE) is referenced in Early Childhood Education (EI), through a study of its guiding documents. Thus, it was researched how the Environmental Education Law is inserted in the documents that regulate Early Childhood Education, in the Municipality of Araguaína-TO, namely: National Common Curricular Base - BNCC; Tocantins Curriculum Document: Early Childhood Education; and the Pedagogical Curricular Reference for Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Araguaína, dialoguing with authors who deal with the subject. The methodology used was that of a qualitative research through the types of documental bibliographical research. It was observed that, although the EE has a wide legislation and specific educational policy, however, when having contact with the documents, it is perceived that there is compliance with the legal obligation to insert this theme in the texts, however there is little place of prominence on the subject, even though it has the characteristics mentioned above and it is not a recent issue for Brazilian societ.
