Descrição
Resumo:This article is the beginning of a research about criteria of newsworthiness. This is an exploratory survey of event analysis built through a regional informative website and a Brazilian quality paper during a week. The main aim is to analyze the news values, based on Franciscato’s proposal (2014) written in 2002 as a part of his thesis. At first, we make a state of the art studies in Brazil. Then, we show an analysis with the quality paper and the regional informative website. At the end, we present a major consideration: there are combinations between the intrinsic or news values, which are more frequent: proximity to importance, distance to rupture and importance with continuity. Service and influence of social institutions, which are, generally, disregarded factors, should also enter the analysis of newsworthiness.
