| Sumario: | Our study has for objective analysis the leadership styles of business administration's student at a higher education institution, regarding transactional and transformational aspects. Therefor we perform the research survey, descriptive in nature and quantitative approach. The sample was composed for 104 student’s in business administration curse, for 1 at 8 semester of one private higher education institution of RS interior. For indentificate the leadership styles, was elaborating a questions model with modifications of “Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire” (MLQ) instrumenter according Bass e Avolio (1995 apud NORTHOUSE, 2004). Data analysis was performed with aid of softwares “Microsoft Excel” version 2013 e “Statistical Package for Social Sciences” (SPSS) version 23, trough of factorial and explorating analysis and descriptive statistical absolute and relative frequency. The data revealed that most respondents have characteristics of the two main leadership styles and were against the absence of leadership. In view of these results, it was possible to draw a profile of the students still in the graduation process, being identified that they already have leadership characteristics and tend to apply them in the academic environment. The practical contributions refer to providing academics and future managers with insights into leadership practices, in order to promote self-knowledge about their own profiles and thus better develop them. And, when dealing with leadership styles, the study contributes to advancing the discussions of this theme within the organizational studies literature. |
