| Sumario: | The aim of the study was to evaluate the haematobiochemical parameters of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum, 1792) cultured in floating cages at the Ojherani population centre in Lake Titicaca (Puno, Peru), according to sex and body length. Thirty individuals were captured at random. Blood samples were collected for protein, cholesterol and glucose analysis by photometric determinations. Serological values according to sex were protein 25.61 and 15.53 g/l, cholesterol 7.01 and 6.65 mmol/l and glucose 4.34 and 5.75 mmol/l for females and males, respectively. Serum protein values were significantly higher in females (p=0.0027) and glucose in males (p=0.0040). There were no statistical differences due to the effect of length. |
