Resumo:This article aims to present and analyze various studies on the nineteenth-century press in Colombia, which have been identified through the construction of a state of the art. As a result, we can see several works on the press in Colombia, which are divided fundamentally into two groups: on the one hand, those that are part of the period of the beginning of republican life and, on the other hand, those who deal with the press during the liberal periods. A balance of this type has not been made in the country, a situation that is reflected in the multiple difficulties to find systematicity in the press investigations in Colombia and processes of public opinion. Finally, the importance of the press as a means of disseminating the public opinion in Colombia during the 19th century.
