However, even though structural analysis has provided important elements to understand this phenomenon, it has also resulted in a static image. Because of this we have opted for a relational perspective in this article, in particular the concept of contentious politics, and the use of elements such as dynamism and continuity allow us to understand from another viewpoint the origin of and armed group in Guadalajara.El análisis de los movimientos armados acaecidos en la década de 1970 en laciudad de Guadalajara ha privilegiado explicaciones estructuralistas, las cualesestán plagadas de esencialismo. Es decir, se les atribuye a los actores un sinfín de propiedades. Sin embargo, aunque el análisis estructural ha brindado elementos importantes para el conocimiento del fenómeno,ha generado, a su vez, una imagen estática de éste.
