| Resumo: | Dental transmigration It is the migration of a tooth through the midline toward the opposite side. The etiology is not specific, can be considered from premature loss of teeth, endocrine diseases, inheritance, etc. There is no symptom in teeth with transmigration so the diagnosis occurs during the revision of other pathology. Its prevalence may vary depending on the geographical area where the study takes place and it affects the maxilla or the mandible and rarely can be bilateral. The tooth with transmigration can be left in observation or a treatment, this can be surgically to remove or orthodontic to perform tooth traction and take it to the dental arch. Treatment may vary depending on the age of the patient, the inclination of the affected tooth and the area which detects the transmigration. |
