Descripción
Sumario:The aim of this paper is to analyze in depth the third edition of the Spanish Royal Academy’s Diccionario de la lengua castellana (1791). This is not another analysis of the work, since its findings break new ground. Amongst ot he things it pints to the existence of at least one corrected reprint of the work hitherto unknown to members of the academic community; it also brings to light the separate publication of the first and only Supplement (1791), and in general terms underlines the novelties of the 1791 edition with respect to the previous editions of dictionary.
