| Sumario: | In this article, positive actions that certain governments from Latin America and the Caribbean take in favor of the fight for gender equality will be revisited, under the context of the health crisis of COVID-19 that has been hitting the region since the second trimester of 2020th. There will also be a headcount of the challenges that the production of statistics of gender represent in this contingency, acknowledging that the generation of hard data concerning the impact of the pandemic in gender equality represents crucial importance for the implementation of more and better public policies and diverse actions that manage a comeback of women to the “new normality” in a secure way and in conditions of recovering what was lost and keep moving in matter of gender equality. |
